Rolled mats are a “hot mess.” They should be used for lying on the ground, not for hip thrust padding.
Neck pads for your barbell are designed FOR YOUR NECK not your hips… The pad wants to sit up off the body and does not pinch well between the hips and thighs. This creates instability in the bar during your lift. You also run the risk of the barbell falling through that annoying slit in the pad!
Blue balance pads are bulky, and limit the users hinge at the hips. These pads were designed to create instability, not to withstand direct contact from a heavy barbell.
